An intern current lifecycle assessment study by DSM shows, the production of bio-based Dyneema causes in comparison to his conventional counterpart a significant reduction of the carbon dioxide emissions, but reaches herewith identical properties and technical values! The difference to conventional HMPE is even bigger.

Bio-based Dyneema is primaly produced with residues of the pulp- and wood industry. The use of Ethylen made of sustainable and renewable raw materials, instead of petrochemical materials reduces fossil fuel consumption and minimizes the ecological footprint in the further production chain.
